January 20, 1887 - October 3, 1974
Mrs. Minnie Lee Watkins, 88, of 506 Dixie Dr., died Thursday in an El Dorado nursing home after a long illness. Funeral services will be today at 4 p.m. at Rumph Mortuary chapel with Rev. Glenn Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Born Jan. 20, 1886, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harris McKinney. She was a member of the Harper Springs Baptist Church and a housewife. Survivors include two sons, J. L. Watkins and T. G. Watkins, both of El Dorado; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Sones, Huttig, Mrs. Rose Greenlee, Little Rock, and Mrs. Bertie Barton, Ruston, La.; one sister, Mrs. Aslee Malone, Crossett; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ray Burns, John A. Phillips, Chester McKennen, O. D. Womack and Roy L. Nelson. (El Dorado News Times - November 5, 1974)
