Glen Ray Everett, son of the late Hairl Glendon Everett and Ella Rhea Melton Everett, was born August 31, 1947 in Bandmill, Arkansas. He departed this life February 17, 2015 at his home in Oxford, Arkansas at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was united in marriage to Willetta Rowden May 29, 1970 in Oxford, Arkansas and to this union three children were born.He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. He served in the United States Army Military Police during the Vietnam War. He received a medical discharge for service related injuries. He was a lifelong resident of Izard County and a farmer by trade. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member and elder of the Oxford Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Willetta Everett of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Randy and Loyanna Everett of Cabot and Glendon Everett of Oxford; one daughter: Leah Foster of Oxford; four sisters: Gaye and Junior Majors of Brockwell, Joann Gillihan of Melbourne, Barbara and Gary Thornley of Brockwell and Jeannie and Mike Russell of Brockwell; six grandchildren: Anna Everett, Emma Everett, Amanda Hutchins, Andrew Foster, Case Everett, Willa Everett and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Bobby Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Thursday, February 19 from 6-8 p.m.

Pallbearers: Darrell Killian, Bryan Dillard, John David Miller, Greg Moss, David Carter and Chuck Sweet.
