It becomes the sad duty of the Times to announce the death of another of our students, Mrs Leona Everette, wife of Malcolm Everette, who died at the home of her parents, Henry and Mrs Reeves, of Sage, who succumbed to an attack of typhoid fever on Tuesday of this week.
This is a duty that we had rather shirk, for the thoughts of the schoolroom, are ever pleasant thoughts and a broken circle of pupils causes sadness that words cannot define. We offer the bereaved our unworthy sympathy and drop a tear in her memory.
Interment was in Reeves Cemetery Wednesday.
(Note: The date of death is 1924 as indicated by the date on the obituary. Leona's husband was Marvin Everett not Malcolm as quoted in the obituary. The information for this comes from Myrtle Reeves Chrisco (via her daughter-in-law, Sue Chrisco.), sister of Leona. Apparently Leona was pregnant at the time of her death and the child died also.)
