Alice May Johnson, 91, of Minturn passed away Friday December 4, 2015.
Born May 24, 1924 in Bruce, Mississippi, daughter of Eugene S. and Dulice Shankle Carter. She was a former employee of Mathis Air Condition Co. and Skil Corp. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal belief.
She was united in marriage to Jessie (Bud) Johnson January 19, 1962 She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Evelyn Bedford; a son, William Reeder, a step daughter, Joyce Harper; four brother, Edward Carter, Fred Carter, Charles Carter and Thomas Carter; two sister, Winnie Davis and Martha Smith.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty (Jim) Erter of Urbana, Ohio: a sister, Bertha Bird of Hazen; friend and loving companion for many years, John Niedermeier; three step children, Junior (Glenda) Johnson and Janet (Wedge) Mosley all of Minturn, and Donnie (Yolonda) Johnson of Maryland; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
