September 12, 1880 - October 14, 1964
Mrs. Liza Hawkins, 84, of Mt. Holly died ia a local nursing home early Thursday. Mrs. Hawkins was born in New London Sept. 12, 1880. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She has no immediate survivors but leaves a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. C. C. Crumpler, Mrs. Emma Freeman, Mrs. Roy Lewis, Mrs. Colvin Leveritt, Mrs. George McDonald, Dawson Hawkins, J. C. Mccall and Jim Freeman, all of El Dorado. Funeral services have been announced for Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pratt Funeral Home with the Rev. James Luck of Mt. Holly officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanley Lewis, Roy Edwards, Clyde Scroggins, Harper Watson, Wade Wilson and Earl Lewis. The family will be at the Crumpler home, 814 W. Main St. (The El Dorado Times - October 15, 1964)
