Funeral services for Benny T. "Ned" Hawkins, 63, who was actually killed Sunday near El Dorado when a shotgun in the trunk of his car discharged as he tried to take a tire jack from the compartment, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Pratt Funeral Home with Dr. Don Harbuck officiating. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Mr. Hawkins body was found on the ground at the rear of his car which was parked on Arkansas Highway 7 about six miles southeast of here by a passing motorist. Survivors include: his widow, Mrs. Vera Connell Hawkins; two sons, John Ed Hawkins, U.S. Air Force, Chenaulte, Ill. and Benny T. Hawkins, Jackson, Miss.; and two brothers, D. M. Hawkins, El Dorado, and J. F. Hawkins, Belcher, La. Pallbearers will be Tommy Chadwell, Andy Stafford, Lewis Horton, Jim Fulmer, Curtis Crumpler, L. A. Rountree, Bill Primm, Jack Tomlinson, J. L.
