Allene Marie Mauldin Clifton, 83, of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord, Wednesday September 25, 2019. She was born March 5, 1936 in Greenbrier, AR to Clyde and Ethel Mauldin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Leonard Clifton, sister, Clydene Snow Cheney and her parents.

Allene graduated from Greenbrier High School and she worked for International Shoe Factory. She worked as a Administrative Assisitant for Greenbrier Schools earning many awards and was “The Citizen Of the Year”.

Allene is survived by her children, Jerry (Christy) Clifton, and Sherri (J.D.) Courtney grandchildren, Jena (Clint) Reekie, Blair Courtney, Bethany Courtney and her boyfriend, Tyler Duncan, great grandchildren, Annabelle Reekie and Daylynn Reekie, her special friend, Cecil Graham and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to the caregivers of Seeds of Love, Domino Players, and Fabulous Friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00am at Springhill Baptist Church, in Greenbrier. Visitation will be Friday September 27, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery, Greenbrier, AR.

Leonard Elbert Clifton, age 87, of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord with his family by his side on June 5, 2005 at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Leonard was born March 14, 1918 in Greenbrier to Richard "Dick" and Martha Ellen Loveless Clifton. He was married on December 9, 1955 to Allene Mauldin who survives.

Leonard retired from the Conway Human Development Center in 1984.

He was a quiet loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Cordell, two brothers, Waverly and Beverly "Major" Clifton.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Jerry Clifton and wife, Christy,

of Greenbrier; one daughter, Sherri Courtney and husband, J.D.,

of Wiggins, MS; three lovely granddaughters, Jena Clifton and her fiancé, Clint Reekie, of Greenbrier, Blair and Bethany Courtney of Wiggins, MS; one sister-in- law, Clydene Cheney and husband, Joe, of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Springhill Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Stephenson, Bro. J. D. Courtney and Bro. Johnnie Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.

Special thanks goes to the employees of Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab, Dr. Gary Bowman, the nursing teams on 4 North Conway Regional Hospital, the pastor and members of Springhill Baptist Church who have been so faithful to Leonard and his family during his illness.

Pallbearers will be Robert Arnold, David Mahan, Bill Zellner, Mike Tackett, Tim Leach, Bruce Sims, Ronnie Tilley and Billy Joe Abrams. Honorary pallbearers will be the Crusaders Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Springhill Baptist Church Building Fund.
