Mrs. Carolyn Sue Welch, 64, of Noel, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Friday afternoon, January 24, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Arkansas.
Carolyn entered this life on December 3, 1949, in Neosho, Missouri, born to the union of Ada Lea (Wells) White and the late Harry L. White. She was a lifelong resident of Noel, Missouri and was a 1967 graduate of Noel High School. On August 18, 1989, in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Donald L. “Don” Welch and together they have shared the last twenty-four years. Throughout her life she was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed craft projects and was an avid collector of Santa Claus memorabilia. Carolyn was a faithful member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church near Noel, Missouri.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Don Welch of the home; a son, Donald Brackney, Jr., of Noel, Missouri; a daughter, Stacey Lynn Beckerman and husband, Mark, of San Antonio, Texas; one granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Wike of Springdale, Arkansas; a great-grandson, Camden Wike; her mother, Ada White of Neosho, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth White of Noel, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Jarvis of Southwest City, Missouri and Mamie Latty of Anderson, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Welch are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Mill Creek Baptist Church near Noel, Missouri, with Bro. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Creek Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Donald Lynn Wells, Ernest “Puggy” Wells, Cody Rosenbohm, Justin Edens, Rick Lett and Justin Jarvis. Camden Wike and David Collingsworth will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Memorials are being directed to the Mill Creek Baptist Church and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
