Rogers Democrat
Thursday, July 8, 1926

John B. Robertson, 69 years old, who had been superintendent of the county poor farm at Fayetteville since its establishment seven years ago, was killed instantly about 7:30 o'clock Tuesday night when he came in contact with a live wire which had blown down in front of the farm and which was carrying 33,000 volts of electricity. The storm of the afternoon had blown down the line and Robertson was examining it. The high tension wire supplied the towns of Springdale and Rogers with light and power and this was the cause of Rogers being without light or power for several hours Tuesday night.
