SPRINGDALE — Shirley Ann Brashears, 83, died Jan. 22, 2012, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Fort Smith, Ark. Her parents were William O. Pearson and Mabel Irene Thompson Pearson.

Two husbands, Lowell Robertson and Jack Brashears, preceded her in death, as did her brother. Fred Pearson, and sister, Martha Parsons.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Paula Robertson of Benton, Bill and Karen Robertson of Springdale and Bob and Pam Robertson of Springfield, Mo. Also surviving are her sister, Alice Koon; Alice's husband, Bruce Koon; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Shirley belonged to Cross Church, where she loved to sing in the choir. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, an avid Arkansas Razorback fan, and was among the longest-serving volunteers at the Jones Center for Families. She also worked as a lab technician at several clinics and hospitals, including Springdale Memorial Hospital, Springdale Clinic, and the AHEC Family Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Funeral services take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Greg Lentz will officiate. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
