ROBERTSON, J.C. - {from Elm Springs} J.C. Robertson died at Cave Springs Sunday evening as the result of a stroke of paralysis Wednesday and was buried at this place yesterday. He was born in East Tennessee 63 years ago and was educated for the Presbyterian ministry. He later be came a Baptist preacher and after coming to this section acquired more than a local reputation as a Baptist debater. He possessed a good library which was destroyed with his home in the cyclone of May 20, 1898. He lived in this township about 20 years and about four years ago moved to Cave Springs. He was an enthusiastic Odd Fellow and his burial was under the direction of this order. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Shep Luper. He leaves a wife and four children.
