GENTRY — James "Jim" Alick Hendrix, 94, of Gentry, Ark., died May 25, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville, Ark. Born June 4, 1917, in Crowell, Texas, he was the son of James Marvin Hendrix and Dilla Cansora Cawthron Hendrix.

He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Jim was a carpenter and a farmer. He helped build the new United Methodist Church building in Highfill after the first building burned. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Vaughn and the Elks Club in Rogers. He married Emma Mae Moyer in Yuma, Ariz.

Survivors include his wife Emma of Gentry, Ark.; two sons, Jimmy Lee Hendrix and wife, Earlene, of Allen, Texas, and Dale A. Hendrix and wife, Angie, of Gentry; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Douglas Cemetery, east of Highfill, Ark., with Rev. Russ Hall officiating. To sign the online guest book, visit www.wassonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

GENTRY — Emma Mae Hendrix, 89, of Gentry, Ark., died July 26, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark. Born July 9, 1924, in Nebo, Ill., she was the daughter of Bryan Moyer and Mildred Russing Moyer.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Elks Club, Mason Valley Lodge. Emma was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Highfill, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Hendrix.

Survivors include one son, Dale Hendrix and wife, Angela, of Highfill, Ark.; one grandson, Nathan Lee of Colcord, Okla.; and one stepson, Jimmy Hendrix and wife, Earlene, of Allentown, Texas; one granddaughter, Jilane Carper and husband, Keith; and great-grandchildren, Kameron and Kaleb Carper; one sister, Idabelle Hobson and husband, Ralph, of Illinois; one brother, Jerry Moyer of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Douglas Cemetery, near Cave Springs, Ark., the with the Rev. Russ Hall officiating.
