July 14, 1889 - February 24, 1953
Mrs. Fred H. Ward, wife of Rev. Fred H. Ward, retired minister at Stephens, died suddenly of a heart attack at her home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Ward was correspondent for the Camden News and other newspapers. She was active in church and civic work at Stephens. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Wilfred H. Ward of Denver, Colo., a daughter, Mrs. Julia Cobb, of Camden, a sister, Mrs. Sam Boyette of Little Rock, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Stephens by Rev. Hugh Cantrell, pastor, and Dr. T. L. Harris of Camden. (Camden News - February 24, 1953)
