October 21, 1885 - September 8, 1977
Rev. Fred H. Ward, 91, a retired Baptist minister, died Thursday. A graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, he served as pastor of several Baptist churches, including churches in Lewisville, Ashdown and Stephens. He is survived by one son, W. H. Ward of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Julia W. Cobb and Mrs. Carolyn B. Smith; one sister, Mrs. C. E. McKay of Tyler, Tex.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Proctor Chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in the Stephens Cemetery. (Camden News - September 8, 1977)
