William D. Ratliff, 81, died this morning in Springdale. He was a resident of Rt. 6 Fayetteville and a retired farmer. He was born in Hazel Green, Ky. May 3, 1882, the son of Litcher and Louisa Ratliff. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Russell Hulse, Mrs. Carl Gibson, Mrs. George Ogle and Mrs. Clarence Newberry all of Fayetteville and Mrs. Harley Greenlee of Springdale; three brothers, Sherman of Durham, Millard of Fayetteville and Monroe of Gravette; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Jarnigan of Durham, and Mrs. Nanny Massie of Combs, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the While Oak Church. Burial in the White Oak Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
