Charles Z. Moore, 90, of Conway, passed away May 5, 2011. He was born December 18, 1920, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Charles V. and Zenia Moore. He was a deacon and active member of the Tallowood Baptist Church, in Houston, Texas; he was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corp., having served in the Rhineland and Central Europe, he received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for his service and he retired from Southwestern Bell after many years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Thelma Moore.
Mr. Moore is survived by one daughter, Debbie Nichols and her husband, Larry, of Conway; and five grandchildren, Travis Blake Nichols, Timothy Nichols, Troy Nichols, James Nichols, and Melissa Nichols, all of Conway.
There will be an entombment service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the Crestlawn Mausoleum.
