James Tyler Wilson, 80, of Springdale died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1994, at Springdale Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 27, 1914, at Pottersville, Mo., the son of James Hamilton and Maude Fox Wilson, he managed C.R. Anthony stores in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas. In 1964, he opened the first C.R. Anthony store in Springdale. A member of Elmdale Baptist Church, he was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Thelma Martin Wilson of the home; two sons, James T. Wilson Jr, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Mark Wilson of Heidelberg, Germany; three sisters, Doris Garrett of Pottersvllle, Violet Morgan of Overland Park, Kan., and Ruby Urbom of Wichita, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m, Friday at the Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Mark Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

SPRINGDALE — Thelma M. Wilson, 89, of Springdale passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born March 2, 1924, in Dora, Mo., to Everett and Mabel Tetrick Martin.

Thelma and her late husband managed C.R. Anthony Stores in New Mexico. Oklahoma and Batesville, Ark. In 1964, they opened the first C.R. Anthony Store in Springdale. She was a member at Elmdale Baptist Church where she was active in the Bible study group. Thelma was often the top salesperson in the company. She was past-president of the Business and Professional Women's Organization in Springdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tyler Wilson Sr.

Survivors include two sons, James T. Wilson Jr. and his wife, Nonnie, of Eureka Springs, and K. Mark Wilson and wife, Mako, of Las Cruces, N.M.; one brother, Kelley Martin of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Sue Ellen Pumphrey of Nixa, Mo.; two grandchildren, James Tyler Wilson III and Cecilia Wilson-Hall; two great-grandchildren, James Tyler Wilson IV and Avalyce Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral for Thelma will be Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale, with the Rev. Jeff Rhoades officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. before the service on Thursday at the church.
