FAYETTEVILLE — Anna Rose Wilson, 71, died Jan. 8, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Monticello to Phonse Harper and Roceail Norton.
She was raised and educated in Monticello. She received a bachelor's degree in commercial education from Arkansas A&M, now University of Arkansas at Monticello. She married Lewis Wilson on Jan. 22, 1958, in Pine Bluff. She was a member of Upton United Methodist Church in Upton, Wyo., and was a member of the Good Republicans.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Lewis Wilson; one daughter, Anna Lisa Gilbert and husband Don of Houston; one son, Calvin Spencer Wilson and wife Leigh Ann of Upton, Wyo.; one sister, Rebecca Harper Crouch of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Peter Gordon Wilson and Clayton Tyler Wilson of Upton, Wyo.; one niece, Carla Tate and husband Vince of Rogers; and one great-niece, Ellery Tate of Rogers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Beards Chapel with the Rev. Craig Russell officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Beards Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Beards Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial take the form of contribution to Upton United Methodist Church, 834 Pine St, Upton, WY 82731.
