George W. Brooks George Washington Brooks, 78, Rt. 1, Wesley, died July 27 at his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1902, at Wesley, the son of Bennett and Mary Ann Brooks. He was a farmer and member of Drake's Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha McDougal Brooks of the home; one son, George Kinley Brooks of Wesley; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Hugh Dill of Fayetteville; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Boyd of Fullerton, CA; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Drake's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Duncan and the Rev. John Napier officiating. Burial was in Drake's Creek Cemetery under direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. - J Pallbearers were Art Callico, Earl Duncan, Melburn Samuels, Ray, Lloyd and Lewis Brooks.
