James Brown

James Raymond Brown, 65, of Strawberry, died July 28, 2013, in Batesville.

Born Nov. 22, 1947, in Alicia, he was a farmer and was of the Church of Christ faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Wynnette Parks Brown; and two sisters, Mary Manns and Virginia Rush.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Brown; four daughters, Tammy Vaughn and husband Danny, Hoxie, Jamae Cole and husband Tommy, Bay, Rachel Castle and husband James, Batesville, and Stephanie Williams, Horseshoe Bend; a brother, Gene Brown, Light; three sisters, Anita Simpson, Mammoth Spring, Wanda Bennett, Pocahontas, and Jeanette Denise Britt, Walnut Ridge; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral is today at 10 a.m. at Willis Funeral Service in Batesville with Glendon "Butch" Parks officiating. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery at Strawberry.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Parks, Paul Parks, Dannie Vaughn, Danny Vaughn, Seth Simpson and Kyle Radcliff. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Junior Britt, Aaron Britt, Jessie Britt and Tommy Cole.
