James H. Parker, 78, of Huntsville, died Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1891, in Madison County.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Georgia Parker of Huntsville; one son, J. J. Parker of Satanta, Kan.; one daughter, Mrs. Chloe Dean Albertson of Huntsville; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Auslam and Mrs. Nora Withrow, both of Huntsville, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Brashears Funeral Chapel with Rev. Claud Counts officiating. Burial was in the Huntsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Auslam, Paul Stanphill, Oval Calico, Howard Bolinger, Ross Stroud and Utah Villines.

Georgia Marie Parker, 100, of Huntsville, Ark., died Feb. 24, 2003, at her home. She was born July 31, 1902, at Huntsville (Berry Branch), Ark., the daughter of James Lafeyette "Jim" and Lillian Rowe Phillips. She had taught school for three terms before beginning her career as a cook. Over the years, she worked at the Crossbow Restaurant, The Southside Cafe, the Kozy Korner Kafe and the White-way Cafe, all in Huntsville and later she was a cook at the Sigma Nu Fraternity at the University of Arkansas. She was a Christian and an avid bowler until age 93. She was the widow of James H. Parker who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1969. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Keith Phillips and two sisters, Mrs. Eula Kendall and Mrs. Hattie Walker.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, JL and Colene Parker of Hindsville, Ark.; one daughter, Mrs. Chloe Dean Albertson of Huntsville, Ark.; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, John and Beverly Parker of Mena, Ark.; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jamie and Carey Bowerman of Fayetteville, Ark.; four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, Josh and Diana Bowerman of Fayetteville, Ark., Tyler Parker of Norman, Okla. and Benjamin Parker and Seth Parker, both of Mena, Ark.; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah Parker and Rebekkah Parker, both of Mena, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers will be: Charles Clark, Charles Gurley, Terry Thomas, Danny Reed, Fred Calvert and Johnny Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be: Lorene Johnson, James L. Reed and Bill Coleman.
