Husband of Onida Parker
Minyard M. Parker, 61, of this city, died at the Springdale Memorial Hospital March 30. He had been in ill health for the past few months.
Mr. Parker was born in this county Feb. 2, 1899, the son of John and Mary Jane Boyd Parker, and was a former salesman and service station operator.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Onida Parker, of the home; two sons and a daughter by a former marriage, Richard Dale Parker of Clarkia, Idaho; Ronald Parker of Santa Ana, Calif. and Dorothy Ann Walling of Laurel Bay, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jim Parker, and five sisters, Mrs. Josephine Auslam, Mrs. Nina Reed, Mrs. Minnie Ledbetter and Mrs. Nora Withrow, all of this city.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Free Will Baptist church here conducted by Rev. Bruce Phillips. Burial was in the Huntsville cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: J. L. Parker, Bill Gaskill, Billy Ray Ledbetter, Jimmy Auslam, Rex Cox and Earl Shinn, Jr.
