Lee F. Griffin, 59, of Rt. 1 El Dorado, died early Thursday in a local hospital following a protracted illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1908 in Hopkins County, Tex. and had been a resident of El Dorado for the past 42 years. He was a retired tankcar repairman and a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sudie Stephens Griffin of El Dorado; a son, Donald Lee Griffin of El Dorado; a daughter, Mrs. Don Qualls of El Dorado; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Claunch of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Jewell Maddox of Paris, Tex. and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wyatt Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie LaBeff and the Rev. James Robken officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - December 21, 1967)
