She was born September 24, 1921, in Russellville, Ark., the daughter of Walter and Mary Duvall. Wilma was left a young widow by World War II when her husband Virgil Duvall was killed in action. In the late 1940s she and her niece, Lily Mae Duvall, ventured to California and settled in the small town of Greenfield where Wilma met and married Jonah Clark, on Jan 15, 1949. In 1991 she was selected as "Mother of the Year" by the City of Greenfield, an honor she cherished. She and her husband relocated to Huntsville, Ark. in 2005. She was joined in this journey by her entire family (four generations). She was a member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, 10 brothers and sisters and a young son, Paul Wayne Clark.
