Marcus DeLafayette Clark, 91, of Fullerton, Calif., formerly of Drakes Creek, died Feb. 8, 1989, at Fullerton. He was born Oct. 30, 1897, at Hocks Creek, Ark., the son of Jason and Drewsey Hock Clark. He was retired from the Monterey Oil Company and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He had resided in California for 65 years and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Mae Boyd Clark on Aug. 12, 1969.
Survivors include one son, Conley E. Clark of Anaheim, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Meeks and Mrs. Wanda Larson, both of Huntsville, and Mrs. Dolores Varner of Springdale; 7 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil Garrison and President Gerald Abram officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kelly O. Hill, Kelly Wayne Hill, Fred Lawson, Jeff Carlson, Allen Carlson and Walter Mays.
Mattie

Mrs. Mattie Mae Clark, 68, of Fullerton, Calif. died Aug. 12 in Fullerton. She was born Nov. 9, 1901 at Huntsville.
Survivors are the husband, Marcus Clark, of the home; her father, William Boyd of Huntsville; a son, Conley E. of Anaheim, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Meeks of Fullerton, Mrs. Dale Barner of Brea, Calif., and Mrs. Don Larson of Fairbanks, Alaska; four sisters, Mrs. Lee Watson of Seminle, Okla., Mrs. Thaxton Powell, of Huntsville and Mrs. Alte Dailey of Fayetteville and Mrs. Ross Sharp of Wesley; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 16, at Huntsville Cemetery with Rev. Charles Russell officiating. Burial was under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
