HUNTSVLLE — Glenn Edgar Hobbs, 92, a resident of Huntsville, Ark., passed away Aug. 7, 2012, in Fayetteville. He was born June 11, 1920. in Cisco, Texas, the son of Homer and Ethel Susie Evans Hobbs.

Glen served m the United States Army, where he was in the 2nd Battalion 4th Infantry in the Battle of the Aleutian Islands in Alaska and was honorably discharged in 1945.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margelean; two sons, Lonnie and Glenn Jr.; three brothers, Buell, Elvin and Charlie.

Survivors include one brother, Wiley Hobbs of Oklahoma; one sister, Ida Pearl Martin of New Mexico; a host of nieces and nephews. including Gary Elkins; his sisters-in-law, Doris Elkins and Bobby Pinkerton.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the chapel.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with burial in Dutch Mills Cemetery; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Clark, Steve Pinkerton, Danny Pinkerton, Jody Pinkerton, Zack Elkins, Dusty Elkins and Colby Eildns.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Briley, Jim Hobbs, Buster Tucker, Shane Hobbs, Heath Elkins and Marty Elkins.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.

JAPTON — Margelean "Margie" Hobbs, 91, a resident of Japton, Ark., passed away April 28, 2010, at her home in Japton, Ark. She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Dutch Mills, Ark., the daughter of Robert "Bob" and Cora Whillock Hodges.

She worked for Boeing Aircraft for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lonnie Charles and Glenn Jr.; two brothers, Bud Hodges and Frank Hodges; four sisters, Jimmie Briley, Monica Adair, Floy Hughes and Maxine Hobbs.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Glen Hobbs of the home; two sisters, Dorris Elkins of Fayetteville, Ark., and Bobbie Pinkerton of Dutch Mills, Ark.; many special nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Ark.

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 3, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark., with Jimmy Mauldin officiating, with burial in Dutch Mills Cemetery in Dutch Mills, Ark.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Elkins, Dan Pinkerton, Steve Pinkerton, Marty Elkins, Nubbin Elkins and Jody Pinkerton.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Danny Clark, Dusty Elkins, Zac Elkins, Colby Elkins, Buster Tucker, Jim Hobbs and Shane Hobbs.
