*Obituary
Born on July 3, 1915, to her parents, the late Ira Ethel Holmes Hamlett and Bailey Quinn Hamlett of the Hamlet community located east of Conway on Highway 36, she was the only girl in a family with five brothers.
Growing up during the time of the Depression, she knew what hard work was. A graduate of Conway High School, she met and married Virgil F. Montgomery, her devoted husband of 63 years.
A member of the First United Methodist Church in Conway for many years, she served as a Sunday school teacher for second-graders and was active in a women's circle group. Recently, her church membership was transferred to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
Traveling to far-off places was a special delight for her, and she was always ready to visit beautiful scenic places around the world.
