Elsie Lena Watson Wimberly, 89, of Conway, died Saturday (Nov. 8, 2003) at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 23, 1914, in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Lena Muse Watson.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 1/2 years, Noble Vance Wimberly; three sons, Noble Vance Wimberly Jr., Larry Joe Wimberly, and an infant; and one daughter, Billie Joyce Warren.

Mrs. Wimberly retired from Dillards and the State Teacher's College (now UCA) and was a lifelong member of the Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Wimberly of Benton and Norma Montgomery of Russellville; one sister, Dolly Smith of Jonesboro; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway with the Rev. William West officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wimberly, Eddie Wimberly, Keith Wimberly, Gary Wimberly, Britt Wimberly, and John Reno.
