Mabel Gertrude Payne, age 74, of Russellville, died Sunday, May 27, 2000 at St. Marys Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cabe and Mabel Clonts; a sister, Viola Beatrice Ray; and a niece Cheryl Clonts Roden. She is a retiree of the U.S. Forest Service. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, AARP and Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Emmett L. Payne of Russellville; two step daughters and sons in laws: Debbie and Mike Hamm of Gallatin, Tennessee, Suzanne and Carlos Hiatt of Clearwater, Kansas; two granddaughters, Stacie Renae West of Russellville, AR, and Shelley Jacqueline Huggins of White Oak, Texas; 3 brothers and sister in Law, Cabe Cordyce and Vera Clonts of Apple Springs, Texas, Donald Eugene and Mary Clonts of Eloy, Arizona, and Franklin Dewayne and Dixie Clonts of Mesa, Arizona; one brother in law; Delbert Ray of Tempe, Arizona; 14 nieces and nephews; 10 Step grandchildren and 20 Step Great Grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Emmett L. Payne of Russellville; two step daughters and sons in law, Debbie and Mike Hamm of Gallatin, Suzanne and Carlos Hiatt of Clearwater; two granddaughters, Stacie Renae West of Russellville, Shelley Jacqueline Huggins of White Oak; three brothers and sisters in law, Cabe Cordyce and Vera Clonts of Apple Springs, Donald Eugene and Mary Clonts of Eloy, Franklin Dewayne and Dixie Clonts of Mesa; 14 nieces and nephews; 10 step grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; one brother in law, Delbert Ray of Tempe.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 A.M. at the Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Officiated by Brother Roger Pearce, pastor of Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Sevice. In lieu of flowers she would like to have memorials made to Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 South Knoxville; Russellville, AR 72801 or BMA Childrens Home; P.O.
