Phyllis Jean Sherry, 70, of Springdale died May 3. 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale. She was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Huntsville to Clifford "Pete" and Margaret Morris Miller. She graduated from Huntsville High School and was retired from First State and Worthen Bank in Springdale, where she had worked for more than 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, granny and friend, and had a caring spirit that was full of unconditional love. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Sherry of the home, to whom she was married for 52 years; one son, Larry Sherry of Springdale; one daughter, Laurinda Atchison and husband David of Springdale; one sister, Barbara McIntosh of Springdale; four grandchildren, Lindsay Sherry and Rachel Sherry, both of Fayetteville, Nicole Atchison Ward of Fort Worth, Texas, and Matthew Sherry of Springdale; two great-grandsons, two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6 at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.
