Byron Clark Wiles, 71, of Gentry died Tuesday, June 1, at his home.

He was born Feb. 15, 1922, at Springtown to William Phillip Wiles and Edith 0. Clemmer Wiles. A World War II veteran, he was a teacher, and lived most of his life at Gentry. He was a former mayor and a former Chamber of Commerce member. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Gentry.

Survivors are his wife, Norma Lee Taylor Wiles; two sons, Clinton Lee Wiles of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Bruce Norman Wiles of Conway; a daughter, Sandra Milsap of Gentry; a sister, Ruth Lee Shaffer of Harrison; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Gentry, with the Rev. Don Blackmore and the Rev. Joe Finrock officiating. Burial is to be in Gentry Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home,Siloam Springs.

GENTRY — Norma Lee Wiles, 82, of Gentry died March 26, 2005, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1922, in Gentry to John Albert and Martha V. Twiggs Taylor. She was a defense worker during World War II and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gently. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayor Bryon C. Wiles, in 1993, and one son, Dave Wiles, in June 1978.

Survivors include two sons, Clinton Lee Wiles of Oklahoma City and Bruce Norman Wiles of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Sandy Millsap of Gentry: 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva Barnett of Siloam Springs.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Gentry with Dr. Robin Cowin officiating. Burial will follow in Gentry Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
