MARLER, John - {from Garfield} John Marler, whose serious illness was noted in last week's issue, died at his home one mile southeast of Garfield Monday night, Nov. 23d at 11:20 o'clock at the age of almost 55 years. He leaves an aged mother and 6 children - 3 sons and 3 daughters -Mrs. Clark Blankenship, Mrs. Joe Dorsey, Henry, Luther, Wallace and Miss Vena, besides a host of other relatives and friends to mourn their loss. His mother and children were all present at the time of his death. The funeral services were held at the Snodderly cemetery Tuesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. Siler, pastor of the Baptist church at this place. We extend our sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
