Emzy TAFF, 78, of Mulberry, died Thursday morning, Dec 31, in a Van Buren nursing home.
A retired farmer, he was a native of the White Rock community and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr TAFF was preceeded in death by his wife, the former Minnie PIERCE, in 1953.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph of Mulberry, and John of Concord, California; five daughters; Mrs. Lois Sievers of Azuza, California; Mrs Vera Taylor of Wagoner, Oklahoma; Mrs Wilma Cox of Rome, Georgia; Mrs Alma Dent of San Diego, California and Mrs Margaret Green of Shreveport, Louisiana. One sister, Mrs Maggie Bowles of Boynton, Oklahoma, one brother, Champ of Mulberry, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sat at 2 p m at the Mulberry Church of Christ with Tillman Pope officiating, assisted by Phil Smith. Burial was in White Rock cemetery under the direction of Greer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were John Fred Taff, Jay Casey, Ray King, Glen Bowles, Roy Bowles and Junior Pannell.

Funeral services for Mrs Minnie Viola Taff, 56, who died Sunday at her home in Dyess after a long illness, will be held at White Rock church this afternoon. Burial will be at White Rock.
Mrs Taff was born at Jethro (Franklin CO, Arkansas) Oct 14, 1897, and is survived by her husband, Emzy Taff; two sons, Ralph of Concord, Calif. and John of Dyess; five daughers, Mrs Lois Sievers of Azusa, Calif, Mrs Lavera Caruthers of Pryor, Okla, Mrs Wilma Cox of Schenectedy, N.Y., Mrs Alma Dent of San Diego, Calif, and Miss Maggie Taff of Dyess; four brothers, C.C. Pierce of Checotah, Okla, L.C. Pierce of Salinas, Calif, Pat Pierce of Kilgore, Tex, and Frank Pierce of Los Angeles; four sisters, Mrs. Linda White of Tulsa, Mrs. Damie Brooks of Checotah, (Okla) Mrs Eva Brooks of Oakland, Calif, and Mrs Della Casey of Watalula (Franklin county, Arkansas) and three grandchildren.
