Irene King Keaton, 88, of Springdale, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
She was born August 30, 1924 in Franklin County, Arkansas to William Emmett and Effie Johnson King.
Irene was a homemaker and member of Cross Church in Springdale. She was a member of the Rose Garden Society, she volunteered at Northwest Medical Center where she also made bonnets and mittens for newborns. She enjoyed quilting.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Marlin Keaton and Hubert Bunnell; one son, Kent Keaton, two sisters, Lucille Cleaver, Louise Brawner, four brothers, Frank King, Jack King, John King, and Harold King.
Survivors include three sons, Tommy Keaton and wife Janice of Ballwin, Missouri, Larry Keaton and wife Debby of Bella Vista and Karl Keaton and wife Peggy of Mulberry, Arkansas; two daughters, Sherrill Reed and husband Jim of Springdale and Emma Jean Kliewer and husband David of Ulysses, Kansas; two brothers, Champ King of Mulberry and Jimmy King of Mountainburg, Arkansas; one sister, Susie Duncan of Ozark; fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. A graveside service will follow at 3pm at White Rock Cemetery in Franklin County.
