Venita Faye Deatherage Newcomb was born January 10, 1931 in Quenemo, Kansas to Ruby Lancaster Deatherage and Jesse Deatherage and departed this life January 5, 2013 at Stone County Medical Center at the age of 81 years.
She was married to T.C. Newcomb January 20, 1951 and to this union was born one son, Max Duane Newcomb.
Survivors are her husband of 62 years, T.C. of the home, her son Max and wife Thelma of Mountain View, her brother Junior Lee Deatherage and wife Pat of Fifty Six; three nieces, Paula Stewart and husband Gene of Batesville, Cathie Cagle and husband Dan of Batesville, and Tanya Thomas and husband Joey of Cabot; one nephew, Todd Deatherage and wife Judi of Annandale, Virginia and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruby Deatherage and one niece, Heather Deatherage.
Visitation will take place on Monday, January 07, 2013, from 5-7PM at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Services will take place on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Officiating are Truman and Jim Bullard. Interment will take place at Fifty Six Cemetery in Fifty Six, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Cody Thomas, Keith Branscum, Dale Washam, Larry Gammill, Curtis Lancaster, and Doug Newcomb. Honorary pallbearers are Lewis Balentine, Danny Lancaster, Larry Madder, Paul Sloan, Keith Powell, Mike Balentine, Dan Cagle, and Allen Newcomb.
