Virginia "Minnie Pearl" Parmenter, 85, of Van Buren, died July 5, 2007 in a local nursing home. She was a retired laborer for Allen Canning and a Pentecost. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. "Funny" Parmenter.
She is survived by three daughters, Inita Parmenter of Alma, AR, Charlotte York of Van Buren, AR, and Alverna Robertson of Arkansas City, KS; one son, James Parmenter of Alma, AR; 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Dyer Cemetery Arbor under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Casey Parmenter, Danny York, Travis Murray, Leon Lamb, Dewey Holbrook, and Lance Bradford.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home
