Eunice Viola Evans, 93, or Alma, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of Dyer Assembly of God Church and a former resident of Dyer, AR. She was born August 10, 1919 in Ozark, AR to the late Sidney and Flossie (Thornberg) Swafford and preceded in death by her husbands, W. R. Evans and Oscar Leakey; 5 sisters, Opal Morse, Sue Wyatt, Lillie Mae Higgins, Faye Roper and Inez Beekman and two brothers, Idus Swafford and Wiley-Dock Swafford.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Dale of Alma, AR; three step daughters, Flora Ellen Cole and husband Henson of Fort Smith, AR and Grace Reinschmiedt and husband Bill of Mountainburg, AR; three sons, Richard Leakey and wife Trudy of Dyer, AR, Donald Leakey and wife Shelbia of Alma, AR and Donnie Evans and wife Pam of Alma, AR; three step sons, Frank Evans and wife Beverly of AZ, Joe Wayne Evans and wife Dorothy of Ozark, AR and Ides Evans and wife Elaina of Alma, AR; one sister Chris Fleener of Alma, AR; 26 Grandchildren, 65 Great Grandchildren and 65 Great Great Grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Dyer Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Friday evening, August 21st at the funeral home, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
