BENTONVILLE — Lorene McKenzie, 85, of Bentonville died Nov. 17, 2002, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born Jan. 20, 1917, in Vaughn to Elmer and Jessie True Trook. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a homemaker. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist faith and the Homemakers Goodwill Club. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, canning, embroidering and sharing these things with the needy and children's homes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon McKenzie in April 2001, and by one daughter, Charlene McKenzie.
Survivors include two sons, James McKenzie of Rogers and Russell McKenzie of Grove, Okla.; three daughters, Mary Alexander of Rogers, Francis Compton of Bentonville and Carolyn McKee of Golden, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will he at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. Wayne McKenzie officiating.
Burial will be in Coffelt Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
