PITMAN, Chas. T. - Funeral services were held last Friday for Chas. T. Pitman whose death occurred earlier in the week in Cave Springs. He was a little over 73 years of age and was engaged in farming most of his life. He retired and moved to Cave Springs about two years ago. Mr. Pitman had been in ill health for over a year. For over 40 years he was a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Pitman married Margaret Alice Murphy, daughter of William Murphy, a prominent and well to do farmer of that section. To this union were born ten children, five dying in infancy. Besides his widow the children surviving him are: T.A. Pitman, Cave Springs; J.L. Pitman, Watts, Okla.; C.D. Pitman, Tulsa; W.J. Pitman, Neosho Falls, Kans. and Mrs. Kate Parr, Leroy, Kans., all of whom were present during his last hours.
