PITTMAN, Marion - The sad news was received here yesterday noon of the death of Marion Pittman who was killed by a tree falling on him. He was the son of Prof. and Mrs. W.N. Pittman and was seven years of age. The little boy is a nephew and name-sake of Marion Wasson of the Citizens Bank.

Marion, the 2-year-old son of Prof. W.N. Pittman of near Springtown, was killed last week by a falling tree. Prof. Pittman is a former president of the Benton County Teachers Assn. and the friends on this side of the county extend their deep sympathy. The children were playing in the yard near a tree stump that was being burned and the babe was caught when it fell over.
