LAWTON, Marietta S. - Died, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.B. Lawton, five miles north of the city Friday, May 3, 1895 of tubercular meningitis, Miss Marietta S. Lawton. Miss Lawton was born in Ohio, January 16, 1861 and was a most estimable young lady and besides her father, mother and two sisters and a little niece, leaves many friends who regret that she has been taken from their midst. Nearly four weeks ago Miss Metta was taken with the La grippe and about two weeks later was discovered by the members of her family in an unconscious condition and after several days developed an acute mania from which she never recovered, the cause of her death being tubercular meningitis supervening upon a protracted attack of La grippe. Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the family residence.
