Lon Hayes Bugg - husband of Captola Marie Beam Bugg, father of Mary Ruth, Lon William, Peggy Marie, Leon Hayes, and Joyce Ann Bugg and son of Lon Jackson and Mary Ida Elizabeth Hayes Bugg. He was born and raised at the Old McAllester home in the Maness community of Sebastian County, Arkansas which housed five generations of the family before being taken to establish Camp Chaffee in the 1940's. After the removal, he and Captola relocated a few miles away in Barling Arkansas. To establish their new home, they salvaged building materials from the old homestead house.

Ms Captola Beam Bugg, 87, of Barling died Saturday, Nov 27, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born July 16, 1917, in Greenwood. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of Lon Hayes Bugg.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Caviness and Joyce Lackey, both of Fort Smith, and Peggy Moon of Barling; two sons, Lon W Bugg of Fort Smith and Leon Bugg of Prairie Village, Kansas; a sister, Bertha Weir of Hackett; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joe and Tim Moon, Sean Lackey, Lon C Bugg and Brian and Keith Bugg.
