CHADWICK, Harriet SMITH - From The Stark County, Illinois News of October 20th and published by special request: Word has recently been received here of the death of Mrs. Harriet (Smith) Chadwick of Rogers, Ark. on Sept. 23, 1909. Harriet Smith was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, who used to live on and own the northwest quarter of section 27 in Goshen township. Here Harriet was born and raised, attending school at the "Old Brick" until the division of the township into school districts two miles square. This division threw them into the Quinn district, where she finished her country schooling. In the 70's the farm was sold, the family moving to Denver, Colo. where they lived for some time and where she was married twice, both husbands having been living in Denver. With her last husband and her sister Martha and family, she moved to Rogers, Arkansas where she lived until death. She was a good friend and always enjoyed the company of those with whom she was congenial. Strong, healthy and robust, she always led the plays and games among her youthful friends and endeared herself to all by always taking the part of the weak or indisposed. Visiting the sick seemed to be one among the many of her good traits, often reading to them for hours at a time, thus helping them to pass otherwise lonesome days, and always leaving the sick ones better than when she came. She lived until past her 62nd birthday.

CHADWICK, Mrs. Frank T.{B.?} - Mrs. Frank T. Chadwick died Thursday night at nine o'clock at her home about 3 miles south of Rogers. She had been ill about two months and during the past few weeks her death had been hourly expected. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at four o'clock at the Stony Point school house and were conducted by C.A. Rogers. Mrs. Chadwick was sixty-two years old and had been a resident of this county for about twenty years. She is survived by her husband, F.B.{T.?} Chadwick and one sister, Mrs. Chas. Linton of this city. She had one brother who is living in Virginia. The deceased was one of the best loved and most prominent women of the neighborhood and her death will be regretted by an unusually large circle of friends, who will miss her wise counsel and her words of sympathy and cheer. The Democrat extends condolence to the bereaved husband.
