Irene Wright, 65, of Hamburg died Saturday, October 23, 1999, at the Ashley County Medical Center. A life-long resident of Ashley County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lela Walton Robinson, and a brother, Charlie Robinson. Survivors are her husband, James Wright of Hamburg; five sons, John and Freddie Wright of Crossett, Frankie Wright of Hamburg, Jessie Wright of Dermott and Kenney Wright of Little Rock; one daughter, Marilyn Hubbard of Hamburg; a brother, George Robinson of Portland; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 28, in the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church with Rev. Alphonso Madden officiating. Pallbearers are to be Marvin Walters, Cal Sellers, John Young, Wayne Pugh, James B. Wright and Jessie Parker. Burial will follow services at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery, directed by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
