SPRINGDALE — Patricia Compton Qualls, 53, of Springdale died Aug. 17, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Sept. 18, 1948, in Batesville to John and Lola Mae Sweat Compton.

She was a secretary in the communications and art department at NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville. She was a member of Lowell Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Qualls of the home, to whom she was married April 11, 1970; two sons, Bradley Ray Qualls of Hawaii and Jason Wayne Qualls of Springdale; her mother of Batesville; two brothers, Billy Vern Sutterfield of Pangburn and Danny Ray Compton of Fort Gibson, Okla.; one sister, Shirley Jane Compton of Batesville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ with Wayne Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Jason Mounce, Danny Simpson, Don Elkins, Trice Sullins, Chuck Sweat and Charlie Sweat. Honorary pallbearers are Stanley Hull and Aaron Straub.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Scciety, P.O. Box 40, Fayetteville, 72702.
