Mary Dean Griffin, 68, of Hamburg died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. Mrs. Griffin was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, a homemaker, and a member of Epistles of God Church of Deliverance.

Survivors include one son, Nikkea and wife Gwen Bryant of El Dorado; three grandchildren she raised as her own, Lazarus "Ra-Ra" and wife Amy Tucker, Tasha and husband Antonio Peoples & Tamarrian Soles, all of Hamburg; three brothers, R.D. Morgan of Hamburg, Rev. Andrew and wife Ruthie Morgan & Rev. Aaron and wife Myrtis Morgan of Milwaukee, WI; four sisters, Flora and husband David Miller & Faye Collins of Hamburg, Othello Yates of Indianapolis, IN, and Peggy and husband Willie Williams of Milwaukee; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra and Gloria Soles; her parents, Amos and Beadie McQuay Morgan; and one brother, Worthy Morgan.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the Epistles of God Church of Deliverance with Pastor Mary Arnold, officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Stanley, Glenn Stanley, John Bradshaw, Brandon Johnson, Edward Morgan, David Miller, Kintus Mooney & Timothy Downs. Honorary pallbearers were nephews. Burial followed services in Johnson Memorial Cemetery by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. See online guest book at www.cromwellfuneralhome.net.
