*Obituary
Marjorie Maxine Brewer, 85, of Leachville, the widow of Don Brewer who passed away in 1991, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Manila, she was a lifelong area resident and a 1942 graduate of Manila High School.

After raising her family she worked for the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. She was involved in the care of the Box Elder Cemetery in the Geneva Community, a farming community north of Buckeye near Leachville, and was active in the Manila community through her membership in the Business and Professional Women's Organization. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, frequenting local businesses and attending city functions. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville.

In addition to her husband Don, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Myrtle Mae Coins Samples.

Mrs. Brewer in survived by five daughters, Donna Joy Sevin of Poplarville, Miss., Judy Diane Williams of Maryville, Tenn., Susan Denice Rouse of Memphis, Angie Marie Simpson of Little Rock and Mona Dawn Broadway of Jonesboro; one sister, Alma Galyean of Oak Grove, La.; 11 grand-children; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren

Burial was in Box Elder Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were: Dewey Sevin, Rusty Simpson, Bruce Broadaway, Brandon Rouse, Holden Broadaway and Benjamin Johnston. Hunter Broadaway served as pallbearer in absentia.
