*Obituary
Rogers Democrat
Wednesday, July 1, 1908
HUFFMAN, John Roberts - John Roberts, the three-month-old son of Emmet T. Huffman and wife, died Sunday evening shortly after six o'clock at the home one-half mile south of Rogers. The little fellow had never been strong since birth and it had been feared for some time that he could not live. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday evening and were conducted by Rev. Bates of the M.E. church, South at two o'clock. Interment was at the Bentonville cemetery. The bereaved parents have the deepest sympathy of the community in the sad loss of their first-born child but only those who have passed through the same Valley of Darkness can realize what a vacancy it creates in the sorrowing home.
