Well Known Citizen of Boswell Dies
Franklin Levi Layton, aged 68 of Boswell, died at his home Wednesday. He had been in failing health for the past few years. Mr Layton was born and reared in this county and the greater part of his life was spent in the vicinity of Boswell, where he was engaged at farming until ill health forced his retirement. He was one of the community's most highly respected citizens. Funeral services were held at Boswell Thursday and burial was in the Boswell Cemetery. Surviving, are his wife; five daughters, Mrs Rose Jeffery of Harrison, Ark., Mrs Ruth Musgrove, Mrs Gracie Hendrix and Mrs Susie Combs of Calico Rock and Mrs Lillie Vest of Boswell; two sons, Daniel of Boswell and Lee Layton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a sister, Mrs Fannie Martin of Conasauga,(sp)Tennessee.
