Obituary:
Emily (Hembrey) Layton, 86, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Pocahontas, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Care Manor Nursing Home, in Mountain Home. Emily was born on October 21, 1928, in Elgin, Arkansas, to Jack and Belle (Davis) Hembrey.

Emily is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Layton; brother, Thomas Jefferson Hembrey; sisters, Sue Brasheres, and Johnnie Armstrong.

Survivors include son, Ken (Sherry) Layton, of Rogers; daughter, Kem (Kevin) Tyler, of Midway; brothers, Hub (Joyce) Hembrey, of Tuckerman, and Jack (Sandy) Hembrey, of Newport; sisters, Betty Stoner, of Dexter, Missouri, Thelma Cockrell, of Newport, Christine (Bill) Roberts, of Vidalia, Louisiana, and Katie (Doyle) Hawk, of Newport; grandchildren, Kristin (Max) Bonito, of Sacramento, California, Scott Tyler, of Midway, Brett (Anna) Tyler, of Midway, Brittany Rodgers, of Rogers, and Nicholas Rodgers, of Rogers; great grandchildren, Evelyn Bonito, of Sacramento, California, and Leon Tyler, of Midway.

Visitation and funeral service will both be held at the Fears Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm, on Monday, October 19, 2015. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015; Gerald Fears, officiating. Burial will follow in the Combs Cemetery, in Melbourne.
